Cricket - SPORTS editor Peter McKinney looks ahead to this weekend's big clash between Kidderminster Victoria and Barnt Green in the Birmingham League Premier at Chester Road.

Football - GOALKEEPER Matthew Jones produced penalty heroics as Cradley Town clinched the West Midlands Premier Cup by seeing off Wellington.

Jones produced a string of saves in the first half and after the two sides could not be separated at 0-0 at full and extra-time, the game was decided by a shootout.

The match, which was watched by a 700 strong crowd at Wolverhampton Casuals, went to penalties and Jones made the decisive save after Adam Meacham had put away Town’s final spot-kick.

Rugby - OLD Halesonians' team manager Simon Hussey paid tribute to his team after they claimed North Midlands Cup success.

Old Hales beat Whitchurch 52-6 at Dudley Kingswinford's Heathbrook ground last Sunday to secure silverware that had previously eluded them since the competition's inception 43 years ago.

Hussey said: "To finish fifth in a very competitive National League and cap that with our first ever silverware in the cup is a brilliant end to our season.”

Football - DEFENDER Jordan Tunnicliffe has given Kidderminster Harriers a much-needed boost after agreeing a new deal.

The 21-year-old has committed himself to the Aggborough outfit for the 2015-16 campaign after making his mark since stepping up from Sutton Coldfield Town in December.

Tunnicliffe was thrust into action deputising for the injured Josh Gowling, before going on loan to Hednesford Town to help settle a money wrangle between the two clubs.
