IF you want to beat half-term holiday boredom in Evesham, hop on a bus.

Parents and young people are being urged to hop aboard Wychavon’s new and improved youth bus next week to find out what’s on offer in the Evesham area.

Wychavon District Council, together with other providers of youth activities, is running a roadshow of services aimed at children and young people aged from birth to 19, during half term week.

Information will be available from organisations including Ourside Youth Centre and Wychavon Early Help while there will also be the opportunity to check out the recently revamped youth bus and discover what it has to offer.

Rob Mace, youth bus officer for Wychavon District Council, said: "We have a busy half term schedule with lots of sessions on for young people providing our usual array of drop in activities.

“Alongside this this we are making additional stops so parents and residents can come along and learn more about provision for 0 to19-year-olds in the Evesham area.

“With lots of different services out there staff will be on hand to chat to you about what’s available and you can also check out our latest improvements to the youth bus. These have been made thanks to external funding from the county council’s disability adaptations fund which has enabled us to make new additions to the bus including more screens, new lighting and grab rails to make it easier for everyone to use.”
