RESIDENTS across south Worcestershire are invited to the annual general meeting of the organisation responsible for organising and paying for health services in the area.

NHS South Worcestershire Clinical Commissioning Group will hold its annual general meeting at The Hive in Worcester City Centre from 2pm on Thursday, July 9.

The organisation holds a budget of £307 million and is responsible for commissioning hospital, community and mental health services across Worcester, Droitwich, Evesham, Malvern, Pershore and Tenbury.

The group’s chairman Dr Anthony Kelly said: “The AGM will give the public the opportunity to hear about the work that the CCG has done over the past year.

“We will also be looking at plans for the year ahead, discussing the challenges and opportunities for the NHS in south Worcestershire and there will be a presentation of the annual report and financial accounts.

“I hope that as many local people as possible will join us to hear more about what we are doing.”

The event will be followed by the organisation’s regular bi-monthly governing body meeting. Both meetings are open to the public and the agenda and papers will be available ahead of time at www.southworcccg.nhs.uk.

Anyone who would like to submit a question to the governing body to be addressed at either meeting can email Nicola.allen@worcestershire.nhs.uk. Questions must be received before the start of the meeting.
