THE B4194 in Bewdley – known locally as the ‘Switchback’ – was yesterday, Monday, after a sewer collapsed, causing internal flooding to some nearby homes.
Severn Trent Water applied for an emergency closure after the collapse and the road – which provides a route between Bewdley and Stourport – may remain closed until Saturday, July 11.
Diversions are in place via the Bewdley and Stourport bridges and Bewdley Road.
