A TEENAGER from Pershore has helped raise more than £250 for charity in memory of her father.
Lauren Sinnett, 19, lost her dad David last year to myeloma – a bone marrow cancer without a cure – and in his honour she organised a fundraising walk through Tiddesley Wood.
The five-mile ramble was completed by nine family members and friends, as well as Winston the bulldog, and £262 was collected in total for the charity Myeloma UK.
Kerry Sinnett, 42, Lauren’s mother, said: “It was a great feeling to raise money for a cause that is close to our hearts.
“There was a good turnout and we would like to thank everyone who joined us – we really do appreciate your support.”
The event was organised to coincide with Myeloma UK’s awareness week.
