HEALTH bosses are reminding people in Worcestershire to make sure they have enough of any medications they need to get them through the three day Bank Holiday weekend.
Many GP surgeries and pharmacies will be closed for the entire weekend so patients may find it difficult to get hold of medication if they run out.
However, some pharmacies will be open on Monday, August 31. A full list of pharmacy opening times can be seen at isaandeforme.com.
Minor complaints such as coughs and colds are best treated by staying at home, getting plenty of rest and keeping the medicine cabinet stocked up, while NHS 111 is also available to offer free health advice 24 hours a day.
Bank Holiday weekends are usually very busy for emergency services so patients are being reminded only to call 999 or go to A&E in a genuine emergency.
