ST JAMES' Church at Bishampton is ready to welcome visitors thanks to successful fundraising and generous grants.

Following on from the success of last year’s event, St James’ is participating in the 2015 Ride and Stride event. Fundraisers from across the vale will be cycling or walking between Worcestershire churches, exploring and enjoying the countryside in aid of raising money for On September 12 St James' will be opening its doors for visitors as part of the 2015 Heritage Open Days festival which celebrates the history, architecture and culture and offering people the chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences - all of which are free to explore.

During the day, St James' will be providing refreshments and a ‘pit-stop’ at the bothy. The day will provide an opportunity for the church to show off its brand new outbuilding. The contemporary building includes the addition of a much needed toilet to the church facilities, along with the inclusion of storage and a flower arrangement space for the public to utilise on their visits.

Thanks to generous grants from Welcome to Our Future, The Friends of St James' and the Abberton Spire Fund, Bishampton St James' has been sensitively restored and enhanced over the course of six years in order to ensure its continuing presence as much-loved community building.
