WITH Halloween on its way, police are reminding people in Worcestershire to have fun, but keep it within the law.
Although West Mercia Police do not receive many calls about Halloween-related anti-social behaviour, people in the area are reminded not to knock on doors of strangers and keep to well lit areas while trick or treating.
Children should also be accompanied by adults and to be careful not to frighten elderly or vulnerable members of the community.
Although playing tricks and pranks is a fun part of Halloween, police are also reminding people anything which results in damage to someone else’s property is a criminal offence and will be dealt with as such.
Any problems can be reported to police on 101. In an emergency always dial 999.
Information can also be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via crimestoppers-uk.org.
