GENEROUS schoolchildren from Evesham have donated food to a food bank to celebrate Harvest Festival.
The youngsters from St Andrew's CE School in Hampton, Evesham, and their families gave tinned and packet food to Caring Hands food bank at the Vale of Evesham Christian Centre.
The food was delivered to the food bank by the school councillors and deputy headteacher Adam Spencer after a Harvest Service at St Andrew's Church in Hampton.
Mr Spencer said: "It is part of our school's Christian ethos to understand the need to help others less fortunate than ourselves."
Staff at the food bank were overwhelmed with people's generosity and they explained to the children how the donations really do make a difference to local people's lives.
