AN amateur dramatics group has helped make a crisis less of a drama thanks after raising vital funds for a palliative care unit in Evesham.
Following the successful production of Oliver! in September, Evesham Amateur and Dramatic Society (EODS) has managed to raise £605 from the retiring collection after each performance. Francis Smith, on behalf of the Evesham Palliative Care Unit, collected the cheque from the Society President Joyce Doyle. Joyce said: "This is a worthwhile charity to support, which directly benefits the local people of Evesham.
"We at EODS are please to help Evesham Palliative Unit to raise money during the next few months.
"This adds to the ongoing total which EODS has been raising for the Evesham Palliative Care unit since April, including £200 from EODS efforts this year at Evesham Carnival."
