THE mystery into the appearance of a 'super-bright white line' across a lane in Northwick Road, Evesham, has been explained.
The inquiry came from Journal reader Dale Thoennissen who said the markings had mysteriously appeared last week near his home.
A spokesman for Worcestershire County Council said: "The marking is an 'H' marking covering a private access road which serves as rear access to many properties. It was requested by County Councillor Bob Banks and is in accordance with our policy.
"A H-bar marking is a visual aid for motorists, so they can easily see an access to a private area in this case, to keep the area clear."
