EVESHAM Festival of Words is adding another dimension by launching an Evesham Schools in Bloom competition.

The Festival has something for all children and schools can be part of it by entering this fun competition to create a garden or feature of a favourite story, poem or nursery rhyme.

The competition is open to any school, play group or pre-school in the Vale of Evesham.

Schools already working on a classic fairy tale, a science fiction thriller or have a poetry project in progress can lend it an added dimension by painting in flowers. All materials can be included such as gravel, grass, stones or pebbles. Evesham Town Council will supply free of charge, to each participating school approximately 100 plug plants to be delivered the week after the Easter holidays.

Children are also encouraged to enter the short story competition for the "Word Festival" further details can be found on www.eveshamfestivalofwords.org Schools in Bloom.

Floral images should be created on school property and will be judged during June andJuly with the best image winning an award. There will be special prizes for children writing the best stories from The Evesham Festival of Words.
