TOM is a lovely, white and brown eight-year-old American Bull Dog in the care of RSPCA Worcester & Mid-Worcestershire Branch.

He is housetrained, neutered, chipped and vaccinated and is now looking for a new home.

Geraldine Haynes, branch trustee, said: "Tom is such a gorgeous boy who has come into our care through no fault of his own. He is a very affectionate, placid chap who loves company and lots of fuss.

"Tom is used to being around children and living with a cat. He is a big softie, who really deserves a forever home.

"He enjoys his walks, is good with other dogs and travels well."

Please call Geraldine on 01886 822083 if you feel you could offer Tom a loving, permanent home.

Tom is looking forward to a Doggy Fun Day on Malvern Link Common on Sunday, May 1, to raise funds for the charity's planned animal rescue centre in Broomhall, on the outskirts of Worcester.

There will be a dog show, agility performances, stands, raffle, refreshments and fun for all the family. The action starts at 2pm.

Mrs Haynes said: "The branch is extremely grateful to Whitehouse Vets in Malvern, who are organising the event, with all proceeds going to The Holdings Animal Home Project to build a much needed rescue and rehoming centre."
