EVESHAM youngsters can enjoy a free play session on Monday, July 25.

The Strawberry Field Wacky Warehouse, on Charity Crescent, is allowing free entry for one day as part of a scheme to highlight the importance of playtime.

Wacky Warehouse's research found one in five per cent of parents believe their child preferred watching television or using an iPad, to play and a quarter of people also said their children preferred playing computer games, compared to playing creatively as a family.

Diane Sims, general manager at the Strawberry Field, said: “We know that playtime is an important part of a child’s development, helping to build their social, cognitive, physical and emotional skills.

“This is why we’re offering a free day of play here.

"We want to help children get creative and energetic by sliding, running, climbing and jumping to their heart’s content.”

Entry is first-come-first-served, so it is advised to arrive early.
