THE nostalgic smell of two stroke mix and the roar of revving motorbikes will be drifting across the Worcestershire countryside on Sunday when the annual classic charity motor cycle scramble returns to Middle Hill, Park Farm, Hanbury, near Droitwich.
The event features a round of the British solo championship and also a round of the British sidecar championship and the best riders in the UK will be there competing on British machinery from the 1950's to the early 1970's, like B.S.A, Matchless, Cheney and Rickman, with European two strokes such as Bultaco, Husqvarna and CZ.
There will be races for solo and sidecars and several stars and works riders from the period will be entering, so it should be spectacular racing, laced with nostalgia, on a track used back in the 1960's. The track is located on a hillside, featuring a long fast straight and all round viewing is superb from the top of the hill, where most of the course can be viewed.
The venue is at the rear of the Vernon Arms pub at Hanbury with practice starting at 9.30 and races starting at 11.00am, Entrance is £5.00 with free entrance for children. Car parking is free and next to the track. Proceeds from the event will be given to local Hanbury and church charities.
