THERE will be delays for rush-hour train users travelling on Snow Hill lines tonight after a broken-down freight train near Droitwich closed the track earlier.
The freight train was stuck on a single track between Droitwich and Stoke Works from 4.30pm until 5.15pm.
It meant trains running from Droitwich and Birmingham via Bromsgrove and Kidderminster were not running.
Trains were queuing with readers contacting us to say they were also stuck between Worcester and Droitwich.
Although the line is now reopened a spokesman for London Midland said the delays would carry on for a couple of hours into the busy evening travel time.
He said: "The last service that was stuck is running 45 minutes late.
"The general level seems to be about 20 minutes.
"It will take a couple of hours for it to get back to normal so people can expect delays through the evening peak."
