PUPIL council members spent break times selling ice pops to their school friends during the summer to raise funds for a local charity.
Children at Abbey Park First School in Pershore voted to raise money for Pershore Volunteer Centre, where volunteers give up their time to accompany local elderly residents on much needed trips out of their home. Without their help, children were saddened to learn how they would spend most of their time alone and unable to get out for shopping trips.
The new pupil council hope to continue fundraising for Pershore Volunteer Centre as well as other local charities which previously included Evesham Dogs Trust.
