A PEOPLETON school was shortlisted for three awards at the national Independent School Awards (ISA) awards.

Bowbrook House School received three runners-up places for excellence in curriculum provision in senior school, excellence and innovation in ICT provision and innovation in curriculum provision.

Headmaster, Chris Allen said: "I am extremely proud of our school.

"I am proud of the breadth and strength our nominations showed across the school reflecting well the excellent dedicated and highly professional input from our teaching staff, indeed from all staff.

"As a team we run a highly professional, caring and nurturing environment that gives pupils a happy, secure and stimulating educational experience.

"To be nominated in three categories and to be recognised on the national stage and effectively to be in the top one per cent of 385 ISA schools nationally in three separate, diverse and impacting areas of school life is a tremendous achievement and one of which I am very proud.

"I am very grateful to all the staff who worked hard to put the bids together.

"We will continue to provide initiatives that impact in a positive way on the life and learning of our pupils on a daily basis."

The awards took place on Friday, November 11.
