A NURSERY will collect Christmas trees to plant in their forest school.

Winchcombe Farm Day Nursery in Upper Tysoe will collect real Christmas trees with good roots.

This is the third year the Shenington Road day nursery has rehomed unwanted Christmas trees and they now have a quite a collection emerging within their forest school.

Steve Taylor, Winchcombe Farm Day Nursery owner, said: “A few years ago we had a couple parents ask us if we would like their Christmas trees to plant in our forest school and thought there may be some more people in the local area who perhaps didn’t have room in their garden or didn’t want to keep their Christmas tree as a permanent feature in their garden.”

The Christmas tree will need to have an intact and viable root system and have been kept in a cool room and watered when necessary for it to replant successfully.

Anyone with an unwanted Christmas tree that fits the bill, call Winchcombe Farm Day Nursery call 01295 680363 to arrange a collection or drop it off at the Shenington Road premises at any time.
