UPDATE: West Mercia Police have issued a statement regarding the incident at the supermarket yesterday evening.
A police spokesman said: "Police were called to reports of a theft at a supermarket on Worcester Road in Evesham shortly after 8pm yesterday.
"A woman in her 50s from Evesham was dealt with using a community resolution."

POLICE are at the scene of an incident at the Tesco supermarket in Evesham.
It is understood 15 officers, and four police cars, are currently outside the Worcester Road-based supermarket.
A spokesman for West Mercia police said they had no update other than officers were at the scene dealing with an incident that was of no major concern to the public.
A spokesman from the store declined to comment, as the incident involved the police.
