A TEENAGER with learning difficulties was butted in a 'totally unprovoked' attack at a railway station.

The victim – who is an 18-year-old man – was sitting at Evesham railway station at around 9.30pm on Wednesday, February 8.

The attacker got off the train, approached the teenager and started shouting at him.

When the young victim tried to run away, he was cornered by the offender who then headbutted and punched him.

Investigating officer PC Thomas Greenslade, of British Transport Police (BTP), said: "The victim in this case has learning difficulties, and, although this attack is not believed to be because of that, it has left him deeply affected.

"He is too scared to go near the railway station in case he sees his attacker.

"It is simply not ok for someone to be living in such fear as a result of an incident like this.

"Please help us find this man – we think he will be able to help our investigation – and help us get justice for the victim."

Anyone with information can call BTP on 0800 40 50 40, or text 61016, quoting reference 328 of Thursday, March 16.
