OUR Demonstrator at the meeting on March 1 was Mrs Dawn Keitley, with her demonstration entitled 'Good Enough to Eat'.

Dawn made use of some unusual flowers to depict a variety of themes, including a combination of the ginger plant with Gloriosa blooms set into a copper container. The result was extremely effective. Other arrangements included stems of cotton bolls with orchids and gypsophillia; a rosemary basket surrounding soft pink roses with purple double petalled tulips and astrantia - and a 'strawberry jam sandwich' of deep red chrysanthemums, hypericum berries and red anemones. Other arrangements were equally effective and Club members were delighted to be able to have the opportunity of winning one of these in our usual raffle.

Our own Club competition was entitled 'Come into the Kitchen' and was won by Sheila James. All in all a really delightful evening, followed by the usual refreshments of tea/coffee and biscuits.

Our next meeting is our Open at the Evesham Arts Centre on Wednesday, April 5, when we welcome Mr David Ryland and his demonstration entitled 'Artistic Licence'. Doors open at 6.30pm for 7.30pm start. There will be stalls, raffle and a bar.

Tickets are £9 and are available from Sue Magee, telephone 01386 859678.
