AS the early May Bank Holiday approaches, the NHS is reminding residents they can access medical treatment over the break.
Patients in Worcester can save time in the waiting room by visiting their pharmacist for advice on a range of common illnesses during the Bank Holiday on Monday, May 1.
Pharmacies will be open at Tesco in Millwood Drive, Worcester, and at Boots, in the High Street, on Monday.
Kiran Patel, medical director at NHS England West Midlands, said: "Your local pharmacy can help you with more than you might think.
"Pharmacists offer expert, confidential advice and treatment for many minor health problems.
"As most GP surgeries will be closed on Monday, we would like to encourage patients to order any medication they need in plenty of time so they have a good supply during the bank holiday."
Pharmacy opening hours in Worcestershire over the bank holiday can be found on www.nhs.uk, along with information on walk-in centres, urgent care centres or minor injuries units.
Patients can type in their postcode on the website to find their nearest services.
