AN RAF plane and classic vehicles are heading the lineup for a summer fete.

Salford Priors Fete and Country Fair will also include inflatable slides, swing boats, a mini carousel and bumper cars.

A World War Two Raf Spitfire plane will fly by and there will be a display by The Royal Enfield Motorcycle Owners club.

Chairman of the fête committee Alistair Brewin said: “This year’s fete and country fair is one not to be missed.

"There really will be something for everybody.

"The team has worked incredibly hard to make this event the best fête yet. I can’t wait to see and hear the spitfire in the skies above Salford.”

The fete's attractions also extend to a roof thatcher, a bee keeper, a tombola and a raffle as well as 30 tabletop stalls and a Scalextric track.

This year, the fete will also have its own bake off competition and a dog show.

During the day there will be live music by Evesham Wood and Brass Ensemble together with Irish dancing.

In the evening, ‘Off the Grid’ will perform cover favourites to really get the party into full swing.

Finally, the event will be topped off by a lavish firework spectacular. All profits raised will go to local groups and

organisations.

Elsewhere in the village, as part of the event, there will be a scarecrow competition with prizes on offer, entry forms can be picked up from Salford Priors Post Office and Stores or by downloading a copy from
