A FLOWER festival will see displays based on the theme of musicals.

Church Lench Flower Festival, near Evesham, takes place on the weekend of Saturday June 24 and Sunday June 25, from noon until 6pm.

The gardens will open at noon in Church Lench and in nearby Atch Lench.

The scarecrow competition will be an amusing diversion on the journey between the gardens whilst there will be flower shows in All Saints' Church as well as a plant sale, craft stalls and refreshments in the village hall.

Maps and tickets will be for sale at Church Lench Village Hall from £4 per adult with it being free for children. Parking is available at the hall and the Lenches' Club.

The Lenches are five villages set in the rolling hills north of Evesham, with far reaching views across the Severn Valley to the Malvern Hills.

The focal point is the 12th-century All Saints’ Church in Church Lench, the largest settlement.
