A THOUGHTLESS offender has attempted to break into an ambulance, putting it out of service.
West Midlands Ambulance Service's Mark Hayes has tweeted an image of the damaged ambulance, showing the window broken.
Mr Hayes wrote on Twitter: "Absolutely disgusted.
"During the night an intruder attempted to break into a vehicle but was disturbed by staff. Vehicle now unavailable."
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said the ambulance was damaged overnight in Lichfield, while another was also damaged in Dudley.
The spokesman added the ambulances, which were due to be in use across the region, had to be taken off the road to be repaired.
