FOUR arrests have been made following a major operation in Evesham.
The multi-agency crackdown by West Mercia Police at Evesham Road in Cleeve Prior took place today (Wednesday, July 19).
Two men, aged 41 and 63, have been arrested on suspicion of abstracting electricity in Evesham.
On visiting the site, Western Power identified a number of electricity abstraction offences which had caused the electricity supply to the site to be unsafe.
During the operation, two stolen motorcycles and two stolen caravans were recovered from the site.
A 19-year-old man from Cleeve Prior has been arrested on suspicion of theft of a caravan.
A 16-year-old boy wanted on suspicion of the burglary of a house in order to steal a car was identified and arrested.
Officers also located and seized a number of cannabis plants.
All four arrested are currently in custody and investigations are continuing to identify further offenders.
Policing Commander for South Worcestershire, Superintendent Kevin Purcell said: "Today we have acted decisively on community concerns around organised crime in this area. Together with partners we have identified crimes at the location and have made a number of arrests."
