A QUIZ night in aid of a Worcestershire animal rescue charity was a huge success.
The evening at Fernhill Heath War Memorial Club was organised to generate funds for the Worcester and District branch of Cats Protection.
Almost £1,000 was raised through tickets sales and raffle tickets, with some great prizes donated by local businesses.
The money will help towards supporting the cats in the charity's care who need rehoming.
One of these is Astrid, a pretty two-year-old calico tortie female who came into the branch as a stray.
She had kittens in a garden and is now ready to go to her new home.
Astrid is very gentle and loves being stroked and tickled, but isn't keen on being picked up and does not like dogs.
If you would like to offer Astrid a home, please call the branch on 01905 425704.
