FOSTER carers for dogs are being called for at a Droitwich charity.

Jordan Bear Charity Greyhound, Lurcher and Street Dog Rescue, are appealing for people, in the area to offer short and medium term fostering for dogs coming into rescue.

As a result of a very busy few weeks, Jordan Bear are currently full and, unless additional accommodation can be found, will have difficulty accommodating any dogs in urgent need of a rescue place.

The charity is, therefore, looking for people with suitable accommodation, who would be prepared to take in a rescue dog and foster it until a permanent home could be found.

Jordan Bear would provide all the required food, bedding, support, veterinary care etc; with the fosterer only being required to provide safe, warm accommodation, patience, understanding, day to day care and exercise and love.

Anyone who feels they may be able provide a foster home, contact the charity on 01905 412383, 01905 778774 or 07970 639858, by e-mail at: jordanbearcharity@gmail.com or, via the charity’s facebook page at: facebook.com/jordanbearcharity.

The charity currently has available, for immediate re-homing, a 7 month old female Jack Russell named Blaize.

She has a mixed coat, is clean and dry in the house, walks well on the lead, is fully inoculated, deflead and dewormed and, is a loving, playful dog.

She would suit a home where there is another dog or where there is someone at home for most of the time, as she is happiest with company.

Jordan Bear’s usual home checking and re-homing procedures would apply and interested persons, contact the charity, as above, to arrange viewing and for further details.
