A PERSHORE school has reached the final three of a prestigious award scheme and is enjoying an award winning run.

Bowbrook House School has reached the final three shortlisted schools in two categories of the Independent Schools Association (ISA) UK awards.

It is the third year running the Peopleton-based school has been nominated in two categories and it comes on top of the schools recent wins at the Worcestershire Education Awards - run by the Worcester News and the University of Worcester.

At Worcestershire Education Awards, Bowbrook was awarded the Secondary School of the Year and Headteacher and Principal of the Year prizes.

The National awards are open to 400 plus ISA schools across the country and Bowbrook's nomination is in ISA Senior School Award for Academic Excellence and Innovation and ISA Award for Outstanding Sport at a Small School.

Previously the school has been runner up in the two categories and this year they are hoping to go one better.

Headmaster Chris Allen said: “Thank you to all staff who contributed to the bids but also to all staff who in a host of ways continue to make Bowbrook House School the vibrant and successful place it is today.

"There are 14 national categories and to be shortlisted in the final in two categories is a tremendous achievement and a celebration of our school’s successes.”
