HALLOWEEN has come early at one hotel near Bromsgrove, where two nameless ghouls have just checked in.

The scarecrow-esque mannequins, dressed as newly-weds, are now standing guard outside the Old Rose and Crown Hotel in Lickey, and hotel staff are appealing for help to give them a name.

Entries can be sent to sales@oldroseandcrown.com, along with a contact name, number and email address, by October 20.

The winner will receive tickets to the Rose Hill hotel's murder mystery dinner for the Zombie Appreciation Society on October 28, where enthusiasts will gather for an evening of detective work.

Hotel owner Andrew Hodges said: "Our previous nights have been popular and they always turn out to be a great time. People love to dress up and play detective. The three-course dinner always goes down well too.”

Tickets to the dinner cost £35, or £31.50 per person for tables of 10. To book, call 0121 4533502 or visit oldroseandcrown.com/occasions.
