SIR – Your report (October 2) about the increase of accidents to cyclists over one year is disturbing. A truer picture would be what is the increase in the last few months?
Yes, traffic is travelling much quicker – for a variety of reasons, one being drivers are more careless. Cars have become quieter to cyclists and pedestrians, so I dread thoughts of the emerging silent all-electric small vehicle.
