POLICE seized a large amount of cannabis in a drugs bust.

Officers arrested two men on suspicion of supplying drugs after finding the stash in a vehicle near Copcut Layby, Droitwich.

The two men, aged 33 and 28, both from Droitwich, have been released under investigation.

Worcestershire Operations Patrol Unit made the seizure after receiving a report of suspicious activity at around 7pm on Monday, October 9.

Sergeant Williams, from West Mercia Police, said: “We do not tolerate illegal substances in Worcestershire and will always act on intelligence that we receive.

"Drugs can be very damaging to our communities and we want the public to know that we are taking action.

"We will always welcome information from the public and would urge anyone who has concerns about the supply of drugs to contact police on 101."
