PERSHORE Tennis Centre hosted its fourth annual charity tennis tournament in aid of the Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven.

Forty ladies from many different clubs in the area took part, all dressed in pink, to support the Worcestershire charity, and £880 was raised.

Jane Warner, tournament director at Pershore Tennis Centre said: “We were delighted to welcome Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven’s chair Fiona Charny during the lunchtime interval who talked about the charity and brought everyone up to date with where the charity is in Worcestershire.”

Fiona Charny added: “Huge thanks to Pershore Tennis Centre for supporting us this year and for raising such a magnificent amount.

"It is support from events like this around the community that makes such a significant difference to our overall fundraising and therefore impacts positively on the services we are able to offer to men and women with breast cancer in Worcestershire."
