VOCAL High, a group of around 40 singers from Pershore and Worcester, are set to deliver a unique winter performance on Saturday December 16. The group is led by singer and vocal coach Paula Evans - who also sings with the vocal quintet 'Excelsa Voces' - and pianist Chris Long.

Despite having formed only 20 months ago ‘Vocal High’ has grown to a membership of over 40 and has performed on numerous occasions, including onstage alongside over 800 singers at 'Riversfest' at Croome Court, at the Three Counties Showground and at the Worcester Victorian Fayre.

The choir sings a diverse repertoire - from songs by folk-rockers Fairport Convention, to music by David Bowie, Stevie Wonder and Nick Drake, alongside sea shanties, medieval music and lively African songs.

The concert 'On A Winter's Night...' will have a seasonal slant but expect some less-familiar Christmas music.

It takes place at 8pm at Pershore Baptist Church.

Tickets are £8 from Blue in Broad Street, Pershore or direct from 0770 9953475.
