MID Worcestershire MP Nigel Huddleston joined the Culture Secretary Matt Hancock to celebrate the publication of a new report which looks at the relationship between technology and culture.

The Culture is Digital report examines how the technology and culture sectors can work together to increase public engagement, unleash the creative potential of technology and boost the capability of cultural organisations.

It announces an ambitious framework for how cultural organisations can implement new technologies to ensure the UK remains a global leader in culture.

Mr Huddleston said: "I was delighted to be able to celebrate the publication of the Culture is Digital Report and the innovative and exciting work displayed at the National Gallery was extremely impressive.

"This important report emphasises the vital connection between culture and technology and highlights how the two can collaborate to reach new audiences and bring the UK’s world-renowned cultural organisations into the digital age."

The event at the National Gallery showcased examples of digital culture, featuring immersive installations that use the latest technology including holograms and virtual reality.
