The M5 Northbound has just been re-opened after resurfacing work following earlier serious crash and fuel spillage between J4 A38 (Bromsgrove / Stourbridge) and J3 A456 (Halesowen / Birmingham).

The motorway had been closed overnight for resurfacing work following a fuel spillage which resulted from a serious accident at 4:45am yesterday morning.

The road was re-opened just before 5:40am this morning.

There is heavy traffic on B4636 Newtown Road between B4638 Woodgreen Drive (Worcestershire Royal Hospital) and B4205 Midland Road (Worcester Shrub Hill Train Station).

Queueing traffic is causing delays on A44 Bromyard Road outbound between A449 Bromwich Road (Cripplegate Park) and Broadway Grove.

Usual congestion on A44 London Road inbound between Spetchley Road (The Oak Apple pub) and A38 Commandery Road (The Commandery).

Restrictions and closure of the flood gate on New Street near the New Street car park. Closure in place as the river levels are rising.

Cleeve Road in Middle Littloeton both ways closed due to serious fire between B4510 / Arrow Lane and Blacksmiths Lane.

A fire which spread from a vehicle to a nearby building and then to a nearby field has closed the road. Fire services need daylight to conduct an investigation into the cause and the road is likely to stay closed throughout morning rush hour.
