RESIDENTS can watch every minute of this year's Royal Wedding on a big screen.

The Valley in Evesham will start coverage at 10am on Saturday ready for the ceremony at noon at their impromptu Royal Garden Party.

Visitors can grab a deckchair among the Union Jack bunting ready to watch the royal nuptials, which will take place at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.

In true summer style, strawberries and cream will also be served. The Royal Garden Party will be situated in the courtyard next to the garden centre.

As part of the celebrations, The Valley will be installing a striking art installation of more than 60 Union Jack umbrellas, suspended over the central mall area.

Paul James, centre manager at The Valley commented: “Everyone loves a royal wedding and while we might be over 100 miles away from Windsor, we wanted to bring a little bit of that regal magic right here to The Valley with a traditional British garden party – complete with deckchairs, bunting and strawberries and cream.

“Seating is limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis so we advise revellers to get here promptly in order to soak up the atmosphere and kick-start the celebrations. We’re really excited about marking Harry and Meghan’s nuptials in this way and really hope our visitors love it too.”
