WORCESTERSHIRE looks set to miss out on the hottest day of the year so far.

Temperatures could reach a scorching 30C in some parts of the country, but the high temperatures will only be felt in London and the Southeast. The Met Office says elsewhere nationally - including our region - the temperatures will remain in the teens, to low 20s.

The Met Office tweeted: "Whilst some hot weather is on the way for southern parts this week, further north it'll be fresher and more changeable."

The forecast is for to it be dry today, with temperatures reaching a high of 22C in the afternoon.

Tomorrow there is a similar forecast, with a possible high of 22C, although there could be rain.

But there is some good news as the early forecast for this weekend is that it will be dry, with a high of 24C. Forecasters warn that pollen levels will be high to very high throughout this week.

So far June’s average temperature nationally, 14.7C, is above average.
