Outgoing Pershore Rotary President, Ron Davis, handed over the leadership of the club to Richard Williams at the club’s meeting in the Railway Inn, Defford on Wednesday, 27 June 2018.

Past President Ron thanked the members of the club and their partners for their support over the past twelve months and particularly to those who had worked hard raising funds for the Midlands Air Ambulance, his charity of the year. A cheque presentation to the Midlands Air Ambulance would be made at its Strensham helicopter site on Thursday, 19 July 2018.

In reply, incoming President Richard Williams said that he was looking forward to a busy and enjoyable year ahead for the members with the emphasis being on supporting the local community in and around Pershore. He hoped to raise funds from a variety of events over the year and planned to continue the club’s support for the Midlands Air Ambulance charity as well as Arthritis UK.

Richard Williams is still very active in the local community and intends to continue to strengthen Rotary’s bond with the local businesses through Pershore Rotary’s Business Club which meets on the first and third Mondays of the month in the Angel Hotel, Pershore.
