A STUDENT is celebrating after achieving First Class Honours in his university degree.

Michael Harris, of Sedgeberrow, has just completed a Business, Management and Marketing degree at the University of Worcester.

“I am extremely proud to be achieving a first class honours degree,” said the 22-year-old. “It is the highest accolade at university and shows that all the hard work pays off!

“I’d like to thank all my lecturers for their help and support over my 4 years at the University of Worcester. It has been an amazing experience and one I will never forget.”

Michael, a former Prince Henry’s High School pupil, said he chose to study at the University of Worcester originally due to the focus on the placement year and the diverse options in terms of the degree you could choose.

He now plans to move to London to pursue a career in consultancy with IBM on their consulting by degrees graduate programme.

The University of Worcester has places available for well-qualified applicants through Clearing this year.

The Clearing hotline, 01905 855111 is now open for those collecting BTEC results and Access qualifications. It will remain open as A-level results are released on Thursday, August 16th.
