The 10th anniversary of the Hampton Ferry Show went ahead despite the weather – which ironically during this scorching summer – tried to put a dampener on things.

The gusting winds meant certain attractions had to be cancelled but there was still much on offer for those who went along to enjoy the show.

Charity stalls raised money for such worthy causes as Evesham Adventure Playground, Evesham & District Mental Health Support Services and Pancreatic Cancer Action. Other stalls offered a variety with some lovely gifts from local crafters. The popular dog show was run by Evesham Dogs Trust and also on offer was paddling pool fun for the dogs. With swing boats, sidestalls, the Smoothie Bike Challenge, Circus Skills, Lizzie’s Busy Bus and the Sports Challenge Coaches there was plenty for kids and adults to choose from.

Entertainment was provided by Avonbank Brass Bank, Eve Lyn and Madi, Betsy Harmony and a highlight of the day was the brilliant performance put on by Circus Kaos who kept everyone thoroughly entertained.

Organiser Fran Webb said: "Although we had a damp start it was dry for the duration of the show and the sun came out in the afternoon.

"It was a happy day and the community spirit was awesome as those committed to the show never gave up and for that I thank them!"
