PERSHORE based charity Welcome to our Future (WTOF) has arranged for the purchase and installation of several solid oak benches at various locations in South Worcestershire.
The benches were supplied by Stan Wall and Son (Timber) Ltd of Wolverley, near Kidderminster and the whole project was funded by Severn Waste Services through the Landfill Communities Fund.
Benches have been installed at Avon Meadows, Pershore, Stoulton Woodland, Worcester Woods, St. James Church, Bishampton, St. Michaels Church, South Littleton and Hampton (Evesham) Community Hall.
Bill Richardson of WTOF said “Over the years we have provided benches for long distance walking trails such as the Worcestershire Way and the Wychavon Way together with a number of churchyards and village halls etc. and these have proved extremely popular. The benches are very sturdy and should last for many years”.
