Chasetown 0, Evesham Utd 1
MARK Owen came off the bench to fire in the winner as the Robins made it 19 points out of the last 21 to give their promotion chances another massive boost.
FA Cup heroes Chasetown were indebted to goalkeeper Lee Evans who made a string of fine stops to deny Danny Scheppel twice and Danny Hodnett but he could do nothing to keep out Evesham's top scorer's 20-yard angled drive that proved the difference between two well-matched sides.
Nathan Vaughan was also in fine form and he produced a couple of decent stops to ensure a goalless opening half.
However, he was beaten by a header from Karl Edwards after 70 minutes but Steven Hands popped up on the line to clear the danger.
Former Bromsgrove man Nathan Lamey's swirling drive was then kept out by Vaughan who was relieved in stoppage-time when the striker volleyed wide from 12 yards.
