Leon Hibbert and Derek Brown got in each other's way at a 12th minute corner.
The Robins forced their first flag-kick a minute later but Martyn Patching safely clutched Simon Fitter's dead-ball strike.
Daniel Lennon, Mark Hands and Gary Hay combined in Evesham's best move but a horrible bobble saw Michael Hayden's attempted cross come to nothing.
Steve Luckett needed treatment after getting a bang in the face and, while he was off the field, Hayden produced a vital headed clearance that resulted in another home corner that Mark Hands nodded clear.
