EVESHAM residents are being given the chance to learn more about the work of three local charities at an event next Wednesday (29).
The informative evening has been organised by Evesham Quakers and will take place at the newly refurbished Friends Meeting House at 28 Cowl Street.
Gordon Matthews will talk about the activities of mental health charity Evesham and Pershore Mind and Maggie Strong will be telling people all about the work of the Garage Art Group.
Visitors will be also be able to hear a talk by Ruth Owen of ACES (Aid for the Children of El Salvador) which provides a home for street children in the Central American country.
Quakers spokesman Gordon Matthews said: “Whilst all charities are entirely independent, Evesham Quakers is keen to support them with time and energy as well as with money from our collections on a Sunday morning.”
Light refreshments will be provided from 7pm with the meeting getting underway at 7.30pm. Everyone is welcome to attend
