AN environmental working party has been set up in Pershore with one of its aims to reduce carbon emissions.
Members of Pershore Town Council agreed to form the group to help Pershore become part of the Transition Town initiative. This is intended to get the whole community working together to try to drastically cut emissions and do their bit to tackle climate change.
The group is currently in the process of being formed and it is hoped that more people will become involved as the initiative progresses. Pershore High School has already indicated its interest.
Pershore Town Council is also intending to produce its own Climate Change Action Plan.
