HOUSEHOLDERS struggling to meet their mortgage repayments can have a helping hand from Wychavon District Council.
The council is taking part in the Government’s new mortgage rescue scheme which helps homeowners who have exhausted all options with their lender to stay in their properties.
The scheme gives the options of a shared equity or government mortgage to rent policy and is aimed at families, the disabled and the elderly with a home valued at about £160,000 and a household income of less than £60,000.
For more information call the council on 01386 565020 or email housingneeds@wychavon.gov.uk
