THE GENEROSITY of a funeral home in Evesham has given young people in the cause to celebrate after heartless thieves broke into their youth club.
A laptop computer, projector, iPod docking station and cash were all taken during last month’s break-in at Ourside Youth Centre in Evesham.
But big-hearted bosses at Co-op Funeral Directors stepped in the save the day by donating a wide-screen TV and Wii games console for the youngsters’ use.
Mike Brooke, Wychavon team manager for Worcestershire County Council’s Youth Support Service, said: “The response from the local community since the break-in has been overwhelming and we are so grateful to everyone who has helped.
“The gesture from Co-op is so generous and I can guarantee that the equipment will be really appreciated by all the youngsters who use the centre.”
