THIEVES have cleared out Earls Croome Court taking almost everything, including the kitchen sink, in a £200,000 burglary.
The items were stolen from the historic stately home between June 16 and July 3, and include three wooden fireplace surrounds, 11 internal oak doors and two oak panel doors, two toilets with matching basins and pedestals, washing machines, dryers, ornate iron gates and even a kitchen sink.
A police spokesman said: “The stolen items might well be offered for resale and we advise anyone who is offered anything similar to what we have identified to be extremely cautious and to call us if at all suspicious that they might be stolen.”
Also taken were a double vanity unit, two shower heads, two towel rails, bath taps, a 30 light chandelier, blue and white carpet, metal stair-rods, copper pipework and a copper cylinder.
Damage was also caused to rear gates and an Aga cooker but the cost of this is not yet known.
Anyone offered the stolen items or who saw anything suspicious during the dates given is urged to call police on 0300 300 3000 quoting 441S/030709.
